Had things not gone to plan, today would have been the day my girlfriend Kati departed the country (with her carry-on plastic bag), bound for Finland via London.

Instead of taking her to the airport today, I get to take her to university tomorrow... and the day after, and next week, next term, next year. And I don't mind one little bit.

It's a good day.
