Friday afternoon, a Ware Shoals High School student was killed in a car accident. It wasn't one I knew or taught, but he was one that my kids knew and liked. This same thing happened to this school in October of 2007, and it really hurt the school because of who the girl was. This didn't carry quite the impact, but things are quiet today. Somber. Things are hard these days. Money is tighter than ever, I'm hating my job most of the time, and I miss my family and Carolynne and Kayleigh and Chris all the time. I don't sleep well in my apartment during the week because I lie awake dreading the next day or I'm worrying about how I'm going to afford groceries by the end of the pay period.
