I don't know you (just ficblog trawling from dn_contest), but having made a few blog entries of this sort in the past, I just want to say two things:
1. Dude, you can play some serious violin. That's insane. I would never have thought someone in an L costume playing violin could keep me glued to my computer for 7 minutes...that's some seriously awesome violin.
2. Like you said, autism is a spectrum...what you didn't note is that at the bottom of the spectrum, it's totally subjective. We all have low levels of some kind of complex - most people would probably call me low level OCD, for example. By some people's criteria, I'd no doubt be labeled mild asperges or v. high functioning autism...and it wouldn't mean anything :) For some people, being talented in art or music or academia and not bleached blonde is enough to slap on the autism label. Now, I don't know you, so I don't know why you might label yourself in that way, or why the people around you might, but what I can say is this - if the way you are has never caused you to think of yourself that way before, then...you're not ;D Not other than subjectively, meaninglessly, unproblematically.
It's a mistake to take something like this and go applying it retrogressively because you're scared or upset (speaking from experience here :P). If you never thought your that friends seemed to pity you before, chances are they didn't. After all, they're not the ones who mentioned the word :) And as for your mum...well, trying to give advice about parents is almost always pointless, isn't it? :P In the end we're the ones who get ours best (frightening thought) :S Perhaps she's just a little paranoid 'cause you're her kid? Again, I don't know you, so I don't know. A thought though.
So. I hope you've resolved this already, but if not...don't stress :) When you start seeing similarities between yourself and crazy-mode-BB, then you can worry :P
