A prime example of how NOT to start off your day.
This is where one of my best friends works. Fortunately he had a doctors appointment and had traded shifts. Unfortunately a nurse that I work with at St. Johns was covering for him. The video link on this site shows me looking for the narcotics that are carried by PHI Medics and Nurses.
I've been up since like...forever. I got the call about this just as I laid down for bed around 0155 this morning. I had to call and tell my buddy his helo was no longer flying. We rushed to St. Johns and did what we could. In this case I was able to orchestrate the transportation to Methodist Hospital, in Indy. Which, I may add, is NOT an easy thing to do at 3am in Anderson.
We need more ALS ambulances!
After a trip to Methodist myself and then to PHI's HQ I finally made it to work around 10am. Then I was promptly told I would be fired if I did anything like this again.
