"whatever happened to my lunchbox when came the day that it got thrown away?"

Jun 04, 2005 01:48

Here we are. June 4th, 2005. 4 years ago I graduated high school and left 2 hours later...blah blah blah boot camp...you know the gist of the story.

So what am I doing now?

Well contemplating why I did not just go on active duty for 4 years comes to mind...a lot. I would have been done about a month ago (using up leave time and such).

As of today I have 2 years left in the Reserves. Finally I'm doing things I like, around people I love, and I've got this feeling of dread 24/7.

It hangs over everything, and everyone I know. It isn't talked about.

There's an elephant in the room with us...and no one acknowledges it.

The other day, whilst watching The Prices Right, I had a moment of Zen that I will share with everyone.

Christy: "I don't like him. I don't think he should be in the showcase show down."

Me: "We can't choose who is in the showcase show down, we should just be happy there IS a showcase show down."

We can't choose who...I'm just happy it IS.

I love Bob Barker.

The pool opens bright and early at 11am and will be open...well its gonna be open forever. I'm pretty much working every day of the week from now on.

On Wednesdays and Thursday I'll be at the fire department all day. If you all need me now you know where/what I'm doing on any given day of the week.

!Coming Next Week!
The June Jamboree Report and a possible discussion about my dislike for K-Burgers.

Stay tuned.
