I have a gazillion stories I've started and never finished.
A million fanfics and original stories.
Unfortunately, most of the stories are going to be put into a folder and never reworked again.
But there are always a few pet projects that really call to me. That really steal my heart because the characters just kill me with how precious they are. They have stories that need to be told.
I was going through piles of tidbits that I've been writing (after I cleaned up my room) and just rekindled a lot of motivation and inspiration. There were pieces that I don't remember writing but felt like a power booster. Like, "This is amazing. Why did I leave it unfinished?"
At the moment, I'm collecting a bunch of thoughts on the characters for one of my stories. How they feel about one another and why. What makes them relate to one another and what significance it has to the pace and to the structure of the overall story. Most of the thoughts I've written down aren't new but it's refreshing to see it all again. To picture what I wanted to tell. It's not a plot map or anything but it helps.
But what always makes me smile is the title. Because the title is something that inspires me to think about these characters.
The title.
