Before you do anything else, please please please follow this guide. Stores like Lane Bryant and Torrid and VC - they're taught to "fit" you so that you can buy their bras, as told to me by friends who have worked there and found the practice shady as hell. A lot of times that means women wind up wearing the wrong size. I let them fit me my whole life and I was waring the wrong size. After using this guide I went from a 44D to a 40F/G. Torrid doesn't sell cups that big and I've watched them measure a woman who should have probably been wearing a 38F be told she was a 40 or 42 D, just so she could buy a bra there. You can't imagine the relief when I tried on my proper size and everything fit, even while sitting down. I have an extremely short torso with a whole lotta boob, and no defined waist - when I sit down, fat creeps around everywhere.

But underwire or not, my new bras in my proper size do what they're suppose to do. You may still have to have some trial and error and some styles will work and others just won't, but the best thing to do is make sure that your Lane Bryant measured you correctly. If you find your size is now something not easily found in stores, I recommend herroom.com for both their selection and their universal sizing assistance.

Good luck and I hope you find the perfect bras.

Using that guide, I measured out to like 44H. Fascinating. I'm going to have to go find a bra in that size and try it out!

Thanks for the website!

You are so welcome. I shared it with some friends and every single one of us was wearing the wrong size. I'd like to be properly measured by a specialty store at some point too, but right now, since my bras are comfortable finally, I'm in no rush!

I hope this helps you find the perfect fit!

Definitely 2nd this, I worked at LB for years. The only thing I would add is to have a friend or significant other help get your measurements. It's pretty hard to get accurate bra measurements by yourself, I can measure myself 4 times in a row and get 4 different sizes, but when my significant other helps me it is a more consistent measurement.
