At the last one, we sorted our stuff by size (in betweenies, plus, supersize I believe were the designations) and then went to town. Didn't like something, recommend it to someone else or put it back for further perusal. But I mean, I treated it like thrifting.. I checked everything I liked and then tried it LOL.
Afterwards, someone organized that we dropped off our unwanted swap clothes with a woman's centre in downtown, just as a side note. This was through Fat Panic. :)
I SHOULD be in town on the 21st, though I may be going on a last minute trip.. hoping to have the dates nailed down sooner than later. If I can attend, I do have a car and I'm more than happy to offer help.
I have a LOT of clothes, sized from 18-22 and some size 10 shoes myself. :3
Tables and chairs are available with the room rental (I believe - but I'll confirm that when I book the room), and I'm not set on an organization method (ie: no rules!), but I'd be willing to go along with whatever's been done in previous clothing swaps, OR I thought we could just lay everything out on tables (either by size, or by owner, or by item) and we could all tag our items with our names - if there were less than a dozen participants or so - and I could bring safety pins and nametags. (Just a thought.)
In general, I figured we could finalize a system either by email beforehand, or amongst whoever shows up early. And, it sounds like the 21st works for everyone who's responded, so I'll go ahead and book that date.
I'd be interested on either day, but it would be ideal if it were 1-5 rather than 12-4 as the friend I would be coming with works on Saturday afternoon!
Unfortunately, we can only rent the space until 4pm, and I'm not sure yet if that includes tear-down - that's something I'll have to confirm when I book the space.
Awesome - thanks! I figure that I can post another update and include my email address for anyone who wants to coordinate times and stuff, once I've booked the space.
