Old Navy confuses me greatly, and more.

Hi fatshionistas! My name is Orchid, and I've been lurking here for a while now but haven't posted yet because my wardrobe is...well...fail. I'm working on it, but my shape is kind of hard to deal with. At 5'4" and something like 260 pounds with a bust measurement around 52" the fact that I am the owner of a pair of b-cup boobies makes it reeeeeeeeally hard to find plus-sized tops that don't come down to my navel in the collar and to my knees in length- both of which can be sweet if you do them on purpose but they're not my cup of tea, you know?

The other day I quite by accident discovered that I can not only fit into Old Navy t-shirts in XXL, but they look really damn good on me (HOORAY!).

But this is where I get confused. I know that ON only sells women's plus online, so the shirts I bought in the store were regular women's XXL. That part is easy. But when I hopped online to check out the plus line, I realized that a)their sizing chart is totally confusing and useless and b)I can't tell whether there is a size difference between (for example) a XXL vintage tee from the regular sizes and a 2XL vintage tee from the plus.

The 2XL costs more so I'm wondering if it is bigger, though at the same time I wouldn't be at all surprised if the company is just trying to sneakily make a buck off of people that aren't paying attention. Can anyone tell me what the deal is? (If this has been asked a million times before I apologize- I checked the memories and tags but didn't see anything)

Also, I am in dire need of something cute and comfortable to wear for bellydancing class.
For a year now I've been wearing these in XXL to class, but they are dreadful in the crotch region (which is a problem for me anyway with most pants...fortunately I wear a hip scarf so I have invisicrotch) and the waistband makes a kind of triple roll on my belly fat (which is definitely where most of my weight hangs out). That's pretty much my price range though, and even in more expensive pants I can't find anything that doesn't have a weird waistband like that.
I do wear skirts occasionally but I like the flexibility of pants and generally wear them underneath at class anyway just so I don't have to worry about somehow flashing my booty.
On the not-for-class front even though I have yet to perform (or even for being fancier and cuter in class which would definitely be nice) I'm kind of clueless for things to wear. I'd love some suggestions from other dancers (I know I've seen a few on here before!) For more info I'm learning Egyptian cabaret style which I have discovered is not nearly as easy to Google and find lovely larger dancers as more tribal styles and I'm kind of at a loss for inspiration. I'm easily the largest person I have seen at the studio I go to who isn't also doing tribal. :/ Oh, and to make things more complicated I'm still shy about showing my belly so I tend to wear my shirts tighter so I can, you know, see what I'm doing.

So to recap: Hi, Old Navy confuses me, I'd like help with activewear pants, and does anybody have bellydance outfit suggestions? I'm 24 (25 soon omg), 5'4", 260 pounds, bust 56" waist 48" belly 56", hips...uh...I forgot to measure, probably 54".

ETA- Based on responses I went to the Old Navy closest to me and tried on a whole bunch of XXL, most of which worked great. A couple of things fit but didn't look quite right, and one shirt was too big, but overall I think I'll be staying in the high end of the regular women's line. I also picked up a pair of roll-over yoga pants which aren't perfect (still wonkier in the crotch region than I'd like), but are 100% better than the ones I already had. Thank you!
