Hey, guys, I'm not sure if this counts. If the mods delete it, that's fine.

Anyways, I've always been self conscious of my size. I've wanted a tattoo for years, but told myself that I needed to lose weight in order to get one. Finally, last July, my best friend talked me into getting one on my forearm. It was awesome, and I'm glad I did it. Well, last week, I jumped fully into it!

Giving enough time for the swimming pool and time in the sun, Feline and I got our second tattoo together. This is quickly becoming a summer tradition ^_~

After looking at tattoo studio in San Diego for a couple of months, we finally settled on Avalon Tattoo. I wanted to be tattooed by one of their female artists; however, we were placed with our artist based on what we wanted done. Feline ended up getting tattooed by Jason and I got Ronan. We were in rooms next door to each other, so she was able to get some nice pictures of the progress of my tattoo.

It ended up being a 2hr. trip. And it only cost $230 for a full colour piece. Since it is located on the shoulder blade, parts of it were pretty tender. At times, I had to grit my teeth :p The outline wasn't an issue, but the colouring was a little much!

The finished product

On Friday noon and Saturday, my shoulder was pretty sore. The muscles and skin feels a little tight, but it doesn't feel as stiff today. It is still a little tender. My first tattoo -- a little Japanese Kanji -- didn't get sore or itch as much! It is definitely a struggle to convince myself NOT to scratch it!! I'm a little timid about sleeping on it, because I tend to be a rough sleeper. At this point, I have been sleeping in a cotton shirt that will cover the full tattoo.

I'm happy that I finally took the plunge. It has definitely helped me accept myself at my current size :) I'm curvy, tattooed, and sexy!

**hugs** for all of you!!!
