mmmm donut

So this represents both a step forward and a step back.

This morning I was craving a chocolate donut.  So while ordering my coffee... there was this split second decision "don't say it. don't say it."
oh fuck it, and I ordered a chocolate cruller.  This is the step back.

So, what I did was... opened the bag and sniffed.  Enjoying the smell.  I said "ok, only one bite." Then I took one bite and threw the donut back in the bag, crumpled the bag up to seal in the enticing smell.  Then I was thinking.. what if I chew the donut a long time?  So I did, but it turns into a mushy blob in your mouth.

So what I did was hold the mushy blob on my tongue (careful not to move my tongue because it was grossing me out), but I could still taste the donut.   Then when it got too gross to tolerate anymore, I spit it into the bag with the rest of the donut.  Now, I know I got some calories in that, but far less than if I actually swallowed it.  And ... it cured the craving.

This was the step forward.

I have issues.
