Summary: After Mitsuhashi’s family moves into a new neighborhood, he decides to use the opportunity to become a delinquent. Upon meeting Itou he finds out that he wasn’t the only one who had this idea. Making friends and foes along the way will these two take over their school or just end up as wannabes?
Review: It took me 2 days to read all of this including all the raws, but once I did I’m glad I did it. I didn’t expect to enjoy the delinquent school plot or the older artwork style. However, this is hands down one of the most hilarious school delinquent type of mangas.
Mistuhashi and Itou transfer as freshman into a new high school. Incidentally, they both met each other at the hair salon previously to change their looks and to start their new lives as delinquents. Mistushashi went permed blond, while Itou spiked his hair. Because of their outrageous hair styles, all the bullies attempt to bully them to no avail. Eventually, these 2 join forces to become the most feared pair in the district in hilarious ways.
Both guys are absolute opposites. Mistuahashi is poor, steals, cheats, and is basically devil incarnate. If he’s sees someone happy, he’ll want to destroy it. If he sees someone w/ a wound or a weakness, he’ll exploit it. If he wants revenge, he’ll meet it out 10 times what he got and make you wish you die. He’ll also sacrifice his friends and run away when the situation calls for it. Because of his dirty methods of fighting and winning, he’s called “Cheap Shot”.
As for Itou, he believes in truth, honesty, pride, and etc. However, he’s super naïve and gets betrayed pretty often. At times though, he can be just as evil by being Mistuhashai’s accomplice. It’s super amusing that he is so liked that no what he does, people still respect and like him. While everyone looks down on Mistuashi because of his dirty deeds.
Itou is my favorite character, but Mistuhashi is so outrageously evil that they make a great fighting duo. Both guys are great fighters, and other than the ridiculous amount of delinquents wanting to fight them, they fight on their own strengths and don’t get ridiculous power ups like a lot of shounens. They fight, and when they can’t they cut their losses and run.
I also think it’s cool that one of the heroines does Aikido as well, and not just a super power unnatural one. She really is doing a lot of real moves I recognize. Kudos to the author for that.
I really did love this strangely addicting series. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find the torrents for the anime. There were some out of date ones for RAWS but none for subs, so I gave up.
