So a new year is upon us. New opportunities to better oneself, new people to meet... new loves for a few of those close to me. I am indeed very happy for them, and could not hope for better to happen.

...I could use a bit less cold weather (ice from the sky? Do we really need that?) but I do have to admit, the city looks quite festive. So many tiny lights and so much greenery--no matter that it is false greenery!--makes the starkness and harshness... somehow softer.

Oddly enough... I feel at peace this morning. Perhaps I just needed the time to think.

I fear my brothers are not in the best of moods, however. I shall be checking in with them shortly.
