Haiti
i am watching hope for haiti now as i hope many of you are. and as i listen to john legend sing beautifully i am heartbroken. my mother told me yesterday that if she wasn't so old she would adopt a haitian child. i wish she would. i see their faces and helplessness and i feel as if i'm not doing enough. i just want to go down pick them up and bring them back with me. just because these people live in another country a little ways away doesn't mean they're not part of us. we are all one. we need to take care of each other.
oh my goodness the man talking right now is from haiti who came to america when he was 15. his voice is filled with such anguish. an anguish so real that hurts.
so....i don't know what else to say. help them if you can. and we all can.
