You sound really mature in this entry, Zak. Not that you wouldn't normally come off as mature, and not that your entries haven't always been interesting, it's just been a long time since I've read an entry of yours, and you sound really... "grown-up"? You sound so changed.
I really liked this entry and the way you calmly explained your distaste for the American lifestyle. I also don't care for this lifestyle, but you chose to do something about it by getting out of here... I don't know if I'm jealous or inspired, I think it's both.
Thanks Miranda. I'm still me, kind of silly, but I think things are different for me now. i was just thinking of this today, about how things with my dad happened, and then a few months later I was living in another country, and I think that combination gave me a lot to think about and decide for myself. I still don't know what the hell to expect in the future, but I think i'm better equipped to deal with it now. I still feel like I'm just getting to know myself.
I feel like if I were to write more in this journal, they'd be these same kinds of contemplative entries, when I usually like to look at situations with a little lighter of a heart.
and p.s. you should check it Mika. he is fun to dance to too

P.S. I also enjoy dancing to Radiohead ;)
