well, it's official...
I will end up taking over as captain of my 9-ball team after all. Brent's been waffling lately about whether he wants to stay on the team or not, and the last week of the season is tomorrow - and he had asked me if I'd want to take over in the event that he quit.
Well, today he finally told me his decision: that he'd like if I could take over as captain, but that he'd like to stay on the team as a regular player. That suits me just fine - Brent's a hell of a player, and we've both got the same sarcastic sense of humor, so the attitude on Mondays isn't overly serious. Plus we've got some new beginner players coming in...so I'm stepping into a pretty good situation; no immediate cap issues to deal with like most new captains.
So yeah. The fall/winter season starts in two weeks, at which point it'll be my team. The only immediate problem I can foresee is that the Steelers have two Monday night games this fall, but I'm sure I can find somebody to fill in for me those two nights....
