well, you can't win 'em all.
No such luck in the 8-ball tournament today. I wasn't playing quite my A game today, and I got knocked out in the second round (of 4 rounds). No big deal though - I had chances, I just couldn't quite get the cue ball to do what I wanted and the other guy was shooting well, so there you go.
I did stick around after my loss to cheer on a couple of my teammates who were still in it, one in my bracket and one in the lower division. Both of them ended up winning the whole thing, so that was pretty cool. What's even better is that my teammate Kristin actually won in the finals against the guy who knocked me out - so I've got that going for me, which is nice. :)
At the end of the weekend, I've spent a total of 14 hours at the pool hall in two days. And against all better judgment, I'm actually debating going to my usual poolroom tomorrow to practice a little bit since I'm off from work. Gotta get ready for the tri-annual tournament on Saturday, after all.
