Sit back and Enjoy
I am surprised that everyone I meet is so distraught over the Bush victory, I guess they are not really thinking it through. Even though this will hurt our nation in unmeasurable ways in the coming years, it will also be beneficial in just as many, and hopefully I can help elaborate on those positive qualities.
Do you realize the amount of great music, art, and comedy that will derive from the horrible injustices that will occur in the near future. Great art is not produced in a vacuum, it takes people who are genuinely disgruntled because of real injustices and depressed conditions. Do you want more sitcoms with irresponsible and goofy husbands with hot, responsible wives, and wacky neighbors and relatives? In addition, do you want music to be shitty corporate teen sluts, and groups of attractive boys who can dance and lip-sync? Remember the Clinton years, our lives were full of this shit. Wouldn't you rather see documentaries informing you of all the ways you are being screwed, and how your future has been mortgaged to support rich people. Music that speaks and elaborates on the problems facing our nation and the corrupt nature of our leadership, and creates new avenues for expression. Comedy such as the Daily Show and Bill Maher that not only foster intellectual discussion but manage to hilariously dissect the hypocrisy we are surrounded by.
Just imagine the artistic possibilities in that we live in a nation where the views of scientists and economists has been replaced by the view of evangelical Christians who feel we should use all the Earth's resources before the Messiah gets back. I think the screenplay or pilot basically writes itself, don't you?
Also, my fellow Americans those beautiful sunsets do not create themselves. Without the proper pollutants in the air, we are left with mundane colors in the air. The continue reduction of the quality of our air will allow us to experience an amazing array of sunsets because of the reflection of air pollutants by the sun. Just think, these new colors will be great fodder for Bush commercials with "What a Wonderful World" playing in the background ( I am already getting goosebumps ).
In addition, the increasing price of gas might actually prevent all those assholes from getting unnecessarily large SUV's and getting reasonably sized cars that won't kill you when they hit your car.
Not allowing stem cell research and reasonably priced drugs will prevent old people from living longer than they should. Come on, admit it, once people get based a certain age, they are just fucking annoying and a drain on our economy. Wouldn't it be better if we didn't give them false hope and let them wither away in pain so that they will die sooner and benefit everybody else.
I could go on an on, but obviously you all see the benefits of a Bush 2 administration, although I must admit I wish Bush would die and we can really see the benefits of a Cheney administration. Now that would be real progress!
