I'd had a rough day already, it's okay that I looked like Alice Cooper after this episode. Alright, I don't wear that much eye makeup, but what I had on sure was screwed.
Supernatural has a guy on guy kiss and it's not even sexy?! C'mon. Although I do love the dude who played Badger on Firefly. He wasn't as exciting as I thought he'd be in this but I liked him.
The whole last-night-on-earth party scene at Bobby's was awesome. I loved it to death. Ellen and Jo drinking with an angel. The boys making stupid plans and being friends again. Grumpy Bobby. Music playing. Picture taking. Go Jo for not falling for Dean's best line! I can't say I'd succeed there.
I really really dug the scene with Lucifer and Cas. I do think Lucifer wants Castiel on his side and being the good ol' manipulater that he is he made some valid points. But here's an angel who hates humans and another who loves them. I don't think Cas will ever lose his faith in God or his friends or who and what he is. I cracked up when he pulled Meg close then shoved her down and WALKED RIGHT ON HER. He's mine I say. MINE! Even though I'd been crying a few minutes earlier, it was great to get a laugh in. I'm sad he's getting weaker and weaker on the angel front though. I don't want him to get like future!Cas. He needs to be rewarded for his loyalty after everything. Or die in a totally badass way, this is Supernatural and all.
And man, the scene. It killed me. I mean, I've teared up a lot with this show but the only time there were actual tears on the face was when Sam dies in Dean's arms. I love me some Ellen, and while a couple things about her have annoyed me I've never been a Jo hater. They went down swinging and it was awesome and heartbreaking. There were so many good scenes where the actors didn't need to say a word and the looks between these two really showed that. Must draw homage to the kickass hunter chicks.
*whew*
Back to it. What have I been telling you, boys?! Of course the Colt isn't going to work on Lucifer. He's an angel. *cracks their heads together.* But I'm glad it's out of the way and the writers aren't just being idiots. Once again, where's that big shiny sword, Cas?! So five creatures in existance that the Colt won't work against. I'm guessing Lucifer, God, Angels, ancient witch-demons from "Malleus Whatever" and....Death? Reapers? I was kind of hoping we'd see The Angel of Death but nope.
I was sad they burned the photograph, but a hunter's funeral seems to be a traditional burning and since there weren't any bodies then that would do.
So was this the tenth episode this season? I was thinking they did twelve before the big hiatus. *pouts* From what the preview showed it looks like our dear show will be copying that awesome episode of Buffy. Didn't Smallville already copy it? I dunno.
