Zomg, my leather jacket came today!!! It's so heavy duty! Like actually heavy, and looks very well put together and tough. I think I was worried about it only looking cool and not being that functional but it's really thick leather and a super warm zip-out liner and strong zippers. And the smell. Nggh, it smells so good. It fits nice too. I read a lot about it and some reviews said the sizing ran kind of small. So I got a large and I think it'll work nicely for me. The sleeves seem a little long, but in bike-riding position they're perfect. And zipped up there's a couple of inches between it and my body but I think that's space needed for moving and clothes underneath. There's pockets inside and out, zippered ventalation on the sleeves and back, oh hell read all about it
here. (Although I got it like 50 bucks cheaper than what it says, woohoo!) The only problem is the front zipper is kind of hard to get going since there's a snap-down on the waist. But I think I'll get used to the motion of just pulling that back and zipping up after a while. Even with the liner out it's warm, I probably won't be able to wear it until November. Still, I love it. It's sitting in my lap right now ya'll.
Onto other things; I bought baby-niece-on-the-way-Harper a chocolate lab stuffed fluppy-dog today. (I used to call puppy-dogs fluppy-dogs, how cute is that?) I kind of want to keep it. It's made so it naturally curls up and it just looks like a freaking puppy! I'll just smish it until she gets here. Sometime I'll have a real puppy that's aaalll mine, not just a family dog. And I will name him Axle.
I started reading "I Love You, Beth Cooper" during slow moments in the bookstore but starting and stopping was getting to be a pain. I checked it out of the library today to finish it up properly. It is freaking hilarious. Innapropriately so, but it's still very smart. The movie doesn't look like anything special, I doubt it's going to be one of those I go to to compare it to the book all intelligent-like. Though I do really enjoy doing that.
Don't forget about Leverage tomorrow, night! Eee!
And thanks for all the good thoughts for Sarge. I heard today he had surgery and is recovering in Germany. There's a tube in his back, but he's good.
