I hope Moon Bloodgood is a good character on Burn Notice. She was good in Journeyman and smokin' hot too. But she's always causing trouble for my leading men!
I tend to get my money's worth if there's pretty people and shit blows up.
This is exactly how I usually go into summer blockbusters like this. And this one definitely offered both!
I used to love Christian Bale, circa Newsies and even back to Empire of the Sun. But I agree, he's become the same growly, dour guy in every movie lately. I don't remember much about T3, but I do know I like Nick Stahl an awful lot and would have probably preferred to see more of him rather than Christian Bale.
Yeah, I think he was really good when he actually played different roles; Newsies, Little Women, American Psycho, etc. But it seems like everything I've seen him in lately is just, as you say, growly and dour. His little hissy fit from the Terminator set is pretty mock worthy too. Get a grip, dude.
You're kinder than I am. I left thinking, "That was it?" In my nicer moments, I thought the guy who played the mandroid (With the laser eyes! - hee!) totally stole the show from Christian Bale and was much more interesting. Christian Bale seemed to be playing Batman with a different wardrobe. I liked Moon Bloodgood too, though I thought her escape plan for the mandroid was pretty f'in stupid. Plans should be more thought out than setting the guy free. I agree with Phetch that she was good on Journeyman, so I'm interested to see her as a foil for Michael on BN.

Agreed. He was shmexy, too. I thought everyone else stole the show from CB in "The Dark Knight", as well. It's like he's into himself enough for everyone to forget about him.
I read that the script was supposed to be all about the mandroid until Bale was cast, and then they had to pump up the John Connor character.
Ah, that makes a lot of sense. Because it really is mostly about the mandroid and Kyle Reese and the people of the resistance. It was like everytime it got back to Christian Bale, "Oh yeah, John Connor." I think it'd have been better if he were even more in the background.
Anyway, yeah it's not a must-see. I usually only pay for movies that are better on the big screen because I dig special effects. Chick flicks and comedies are always renters unless somebody else is buying.
