Background information, first bit: So my town is home to two other small universities in town. Mine is the best for being more laid back than the very large and expensive one, but better quality than the smaller cheaper one. Also, it's the prettiest.
Background information, second bit: All art majors make stuff they don't like. And then don't know what to do with. It's not hard to donate it to friends or family or just put it somewhere in the art building to gather dust. But some things don't interest people because they're just made to fulfill an assignment or they're too big to just leave somewhere. Enter J's big ass cardboard couch-like sculpture. The sculpture teacher has been bugging him to get it out of the room since it was from last spring and it was just taking up room. J has nowhere for it to go/doesn't want it. J, my roommate, a Sophomore friend, and I all get a brilliant idea.
So we met in one of the dorm's parking lots at 11:37 (because that's unpredictable) and crammed into the cab of his truck. Big ass sculpture is in the bed. J drives, C sits in the middle, I'm shotgun, and and Roommate is on my lap, for she is a thin willowy lass. Still got heavy after a while though. We'd all have preferred to take it to the bigger more expensive campus, but it's more closed off with more private streets and we don't exactly know the way to the art building. The art building at the smaller campus is right on one of the main streets in town. So we park right behind the buidling, carry the sculpture around to the front, set it right in front of the lights pointing to the name of the gallery/school of art, and leave. It looked pretty awesome there actually. We drove by a few times. It's not exactly sabatoge or vandalism or anything, but I'd still love to know the reaction.
Also; Bones. Not bringing the win with this premier. Now I gotta catch up with Project Runway.
