Doctor's Log 73: 09-05-10: Sabbatical?
I've not posted for ages. At least, I've not been posting here. I've been around elsewhere on the blogosphere, but my resolve to post here every day has fallen away. This makes me pretty rubbish, I suppose.
We are babysitting. Our friends have gone to a wedding, and we're looking after their 2 year old daughter. Not used to girls. Turns out she still likes Spongebob - who doesn't like spongebob?
I'm swimming in Elie later on. The harbour is essentially a 400m long swimming pool, so we're going to do some "lengths" in the sea. Anstruther fish and chips afterwards!
Only 2 weeks to go until the open water race in Derwent water - 1 mile around the island in the middle, I understand. I'm really looking forward to it. I have a gimp suit wetsuit, and everything.
Election was ridiculous. I simply don't understand why the party who gets the most votes doesn't get to win. Not that it makes any realistic difference to me.
Work is still busy, of course. Exams for 2nd years over, though, so only the 5th years to go.
Splinter Cell Conviction is my latest game du jour. It oscillates between being really atmospheric, exciting, and entertaining, and then at other times it's just REALLY FRUSTRATING. Still, it's keeping me going in between Sonic and Sega superstars Racing with the boys.
