Where is Pregnancy??
I go to a women's group of doctors...
And so I've seen almost a different one every time so far.
This one was a little Indian lady... It was just a check-up, no sonogram or anything.
She lifted my shirt to use the "hear the heartbeat" machine.
"Oh... where is pregnancy?" She said and giggled to herself.
I kinda got worried at first, but soon giggled with her.
And when we both heard the heartbeat, we were sure I was still pregnant. And she said I've been gaining the perfect amount of weight so far.
So... I know pregnant women get a lot of comments like, "oh, you're huge for being ___ months.." and "oh, are you eating? Coz shouldn't you be fatter by now?"
I actually did get that "are you eating" question from someone recently... I wanted to say "NO, of course I'm not eating. I'm doing an experiment! I'm starving me and my baby for science!" I actually wear some of the hand-me-down maternity shirts I got from my sister here and there because most of em' kinda have a built in belly. HA... they stick out so far, it makes you look like you have more of a belly than you do.
I feel like this journal is going to be more about other people's talk then about my actual pregnancy...
But anyway... I don't know where the ice cream is going but... the baby must be eating it all...
Or somehow this pregnancy is boosting my metabolism. If I may be honest for a minute, I thought I might be a little bigger by now myself. But even despite mine and my doctors visual feelings, people still find parts of me to say are fat. Except my mom! THANKS MOM for not calling me fat.
I find out TOMORROW if it likes tacos or hot dogs!!!
