May be very abbreviated, due to LJ being difficult.
22 Feb.--Olore has the rips (urge to run around like a crazy thing) during the middle of the night.
Carrie White can't sleep and meets man and cat. They speak of pets and a little bit of movies.
25 Feb.--Sees
Remy LeBeau (Gambit) at the cafe. His appearance makes Faramir thinks he might be a Gondorian soldier, but the red eyes... last guy Faramir met with red eyes was Lorne. Gets caught staring and feels like a dork. Does recognize the Louisiana accent, though. And red eyes aren't the weirdest thing he's seen here, differences are tolerated.
27 Feb.--Is out hunting and sees
Queen Elizabeth Tudor. He does not recognize her as Galadriel, and there's some tenseness at the beginning, since she's worried about being attacked. He's heard of her (from history) and shows her to the hotel. His manners help a lot, even if he's not from anywhere she's ever heard of. Shows her to the stables (will return to finish taking care of her horse) then to the hotel. Helps remove the armour, which is only mildly awkward.
1 March--At the market, sees
Arthur Pendragon, who is just as confused about buying modern bread as Faramir is. They discuss the possibility of a tournament and actually do get bread.
15 March--Outside the opera house, Faramir meets
Christine Daae. Not that he knew who it was at first, but they've each heard of each other (from Meg.) No, Erik is not currently in the village.
19 March--Faramir puts his foot in it with the newly-arrived
Michonne. She's from the zombie world (same place the village zombies came from) and Faramir forgets that not everyone is ready to take the village life as a gift. He wants to help but likely just annoys her.
24 March--
Martha Rodgers arrives, dressed for a night on the New York town. This is noticeable in the village. He gives her the welcome speech, and has the good news that she can still have plenty of drinks here. Bonus.
29 March--Beginning of the 'Desire' plot.
Only four tags. 30 March--All wanting up, meets
Elizabeth Tudor out in the street. How has she been getting on? He suddenly has a craving for orange juice. It sort of happens that Faramir tells Elizabeth about Glaurnaneth the dragon lady and the little dragonlet Glaurmir. She largely understands why he did it. She asks him to have supper (room service, in her rooms) and they talk. The plot gets the better of them, but they're not entirely blind, and Faramir knows what he's doing. The Virgin Queen is as much a virgin when he leaves as when he arrived--he knows that much. Faramir's biggest issue with it all is that he'd lose Elizabeth as a friend. There's also the completely ridiculous... if this counts as cheating on Meg, when they aren't and never will be physically intimate, isn't going out with Meg cheating on Eowyn, his future wife? Okay, so he won't meet her in his own world for another five years, but he's met her in the village...
1 April--Faramir
is out, affected and mildly confused. Untagged, since Meg-mun was afk at the time.
3 April--Young
Mattie Ross is at the library trying to figure out what it is she's supposed to learn. She's reading about hunting and fishing. She's 14, from 1870, and doesn't need school. He understands that, but has to mention that those who don't go to school need to work. The stables or animal shelter might be good for her. The idea of animal medicine catches her attention.
5 April--Arrival of (very bookverse)
Harry Dresden. Due to his extreme differences from t.v. verse, Faramir only knows the man's name is Harry and doesn't connect him to the Harry Dresden he met before. Harry isn't happy to be here, Faramir suggests that drinking might help. Dresden also thinks that Faramir's parents were really into Tolkien.
9 April--
Daryl Dixon (one from zombie world) has come into the village proper from the woods. He's extremely paranoid and Faramir is trying not to make him angry. No, he doesn't have to answer to anyone but the FYI about not shooting the ducks, the great big black cat, and if you do something to make the goddess Artemis angry she'll probably come to see you. Have a day.
11 April--Goes in to see
Aibileen about having some clothing like his things from home made. Mostly shirts, couple of tunics, trousers. The plain stuff. Faramir thinks that dressing to look rich would invite robbers. Again with the 'race' things, that Faramir just can't understand. Dark skinned human is still human. She asks about a crawfish boil, which he can honestly say the village has never had (though he's been in it five years.) It sounds like a great idea to him. She also invites him to dinner, catfish and okra. Offer the man food and he will not say no.
14 April--Goes sword training, accompanied by
Meg. They'll be meeting Lyra so that Faramir can see how her training is coming along. (Nine tags. Lyra never enters the thread. Meg and Lyra mun was largely afk at this point.)
