My favorite of the Diptyque line is Philosykos. The greenest of the green though in my opinion is Virgilio. It's actually too green and makes you smell like an Italian herb garden. Yes, I'm a guy with a huge fragrance collection. ;-)
Wow, you know it seems that my favorites change so often. I do like L'Artisan a lot too. My faves right now of the L'Artisans is Dzing & Bois Farine. I tend to like the ones that work well in hot climates, since I'm in Hawaii. Right now the one that I'm enjoying a lot for everyday is Creed Erolfa.
Oh it is really hot in SG now but I love my vanilla so some days I still load on sweet vanilla scents. Dzing is nice...have you tried Dzongkha? Incense leathery mellow slightly sweet & so mysterious. I love it & cannot wait to purchase it. :)
I don't r'ber Bois Farine but I checked the top, middle & end notes. This is such a woody scent. Do you like Mechant Loup then? I picked that up but realised it is way too cedar woody clean fresh for my nose.
I have not tried Dzongkha, but it does sound very interesting. The thing about Bois Farine is that it's a very unique scent which at first, smells like baking bread, believe it or not. It's truly unisex. I mean, who doesn't like the smell of baking bread? ;-) I have and like Mechant Loup. It's funny, but it's one of those scents that although I like, I don't use that often. I think I just need to be in the mood for that animalic and hazelnut smell. I would say that's more of a man's scent, or maybe it could work for a women but better in cold climates I would think. I guess it really depends on skin chemistry huh? You just never know.
Yes Dzongkha is very interesting!!! You must go sniff it out. I think I r'ber...Bois Farine is the one that smells like flour...hhahahha yes it is something everyone would like but more when it shoved down the throat then nose? :) Just kidding! What you said could be true, Mechant Loup is an easily like-able scent but not a regular daily kind of scent. I was thinking this could work for me if I layer with Vanilia(this is my all time fave, i have gone through so many bottles). Dzongkha is now vying for top spot on my list & overthrow Vanilia.
Psst you may not care to read a female's angst-y entries but would you mind if I add you? :)
Then I must make it a point to get a sample of Dzongkha.
Sure, you may add me. And if you don't mind the profane rantings and ravings of a disgruntled slave to the corporate world [who only posts occasionally], I will add you too.
