Hey Madison people! I'm looking for 1-2 more players for a weekly game.
The system is Pathfinder. The general theme is half nautical exploration/adventure and half nation-building on an island. The setting is Golarion (the official Pathfinder setting - fairly standard but well-developed D&D fantasy with a heavier than normal Cthulu influence) 50 years before the standard starting year.
Characters should be capable of making friends - I can manipulate the plot to keep everyone together for a few months, but it will up to you to build strong enough bonds to stay together after that.
The rules I'm using for running a kingdom mean that it's important to have one attribute particularly high, as it contributes to the stats of the kingdom. The remaining potential positions are: General (Str or Cha), High Priest (Wis or Cha), Magister (Int or Cha), and Spymaster (Int or Dex).
Most character concepts and roles are still possible. We're a little light on healing, and I'd like more scholarly characters for plot reasons, but neither of those things are mandatory by any means. I'll let my current players post about their characters if they want, to help avoid redundancy.
Game time is currently undetermined, but will probably be on a weekday evening.
Starting level is 4, with rapid advancement up to level 8 and slower advancement planned for after that.
The game will be somewhat serious, but not too much so. The established maximum level of silliness is that one character was raised by awakened parrots.
