I've been reading my friends' journals and realized I haven't posted anything in my own for almost two weeks!

I guess because there isn't much going on. Work is work. Nothing bad. Nothing stellar either.

I've decided I'm settled into my new place.

I just paid bills, so I am humble again. I'll have to wait until payday to get my Mads movies. *sigh* But Casino Royale and Unit vol 3 will be available March 17th and both are paid for *yay*, so I'll have something to watch in the meantime.

The 7-day Paris-Nice tour started today with a 2.9-mile Prologue. The Discovery Team is there including Levi, Tom Danielson, Yaroslav Popovych, and a young rider named Alberto Contador. Alberto made a splash today coming in 5th just 3 seconds behind the winner. Levi is right behind Alberto. So, that's two Disco boys in the top 10. But, perennial bulldogs CSC (American company/Danish registry) have Bobby Julich, Dave Zabriskie, and Christian Vandevelde in the race. And CSC put three riders in the top 10. It's going to be a great race. On a high note, David Millar won the Prologue. He tested positive for illegal drugs a couple years ago. He admitted it, served a two-year suspension and came back clean last year. As team leader for Saulnier Duval, he's on the comeback trail.

I've been watching Dresden Files. Harry Dresden is a modern-day wizard who advertises in the Yellow Pages. :-) and Terrence Mann plays Bob, the ghost of a long-dead wizard cursed to live in his own skull. Bob pops in and out like a genie from a bottle. But he isn't much help in the corporeal sense.

Today I watched four episodes of the History Channel's series on Barbarians - Goths, Mongols, Huns, Vikings.

I also unpacked three more boxes and straightened up the spare bedroom. I can actually walk around in there now. And I found out my niece has two bookshelves that need a good home. Whaddayaknow. I've got just the right home for them. :-)

Oh, yeah, the change to daylight savings time. It takes me about a week to get used to the time change. My mealtimes and sleep times go wonky for several days. Springtime is harder, but going back to standard time isn't much easier. And the change is two weeks earlier now, another adjustment.

Speaking of time, I gotta go to bed. My body doesn't think so, but my mind knows better.

cycling, tv, apartment, time change
