Day Off
Outside it's cold and raining. But I have the day off. And that's a good thing.
First, some brekkie. Then out for a little road trip with a friend.
Big changes are brewing at work. We're going through an office re-organization. I've already been asked to change job assignments. And I said yes. Most of what I'm doing I've been doing for 10 years or more. It's time for a change. The timing feels right. I know the people I'll be working with. And I know the manager. She wants me on her team. And, since she's also changing assignments she needs an ally, someone she knows she can work with, and does a good job. It's a lateral move, so no change in salary. It's work I'm familiar with, but there have been a few changes since I last worked in that area. It's the best kind of change: familiar, yet brings growth and adds breadth to my knowledge and skill sets.
