I've been on vacation this past week and enjoyed it. I could do with another.
I took a peek at my work email today. Same old, same old, and more of it. Ugh.
I finished Paradise Lost. Had to take it slowly because it was challenging to read. I started Eckhart Tolle's A New Earth. I'm taking it slowly because it's challenging to read.
Last Saturday went to lunch with a couple of LOTR friends. It's always good to see them. The salmon teriyaki was fantastic.
On Monday I treated myself to a few birthday gifts. They'll be arriving in the mail any day now.
On Wednesday I joined some friends for dinner and we went to see Sunshine Cleaning. The seared salmon was fantastic. The movie's plot was predictable, but I still liked it.
Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire premiered Thursday on the Comedy Channel. It reminds me of Monty Python, and I laughed inspite of myself. James Murray wasn't in this one, but he was in the previews for next week's ep. I can't wait!
Friday was my favorite day with Primeval debuting on Sci-Fi right after Moonlight. Mick St. John and Stephen Hart. Mmm. Mmm. Good.
Yesterday I found out about Tiziano Ferro. It all started with a promo for the new season of The Tudors. Joss Stone guest stars in a couple of eps. I remember seeing, and hearing, her in a program about an album project Herbie Hancock did a while back. I searched Joss Stone in iTunes. She did a song for an album called Dean Martin Forever Cool. They took Dean Martin's vocal tracks, freshened up the orchestrations, and invited pop stars to sing "duets" with Dino. One of the tracks, "Arrivederci Roma" featured Tiziano Ferro. The pairing was so sweet, I did a search for Tiziano. And segued to YouTube where I found the video for his song, "Sere Nere". Molto bene!
Yesterday afternoon I ordered the CD.
I was out and about today. Most everything was closed for Easter. But Treehorn Books and Sawyers News were open. I came home with a book on the birds of Europe (reference for fic) and the latest issue of Rock Sound magazine (30 Seconds to Mars on the cover).
No Kings tonight, darn it! So, I'm watching an NCIS marathon. But, I can't stay up too late. I've got work tomorrow.
