Magic On Ice
I spent the last couple of hours watching Torvill and Dean vids on YouTube. They are absolute magic on ice! I can't believe I haven't posted any vids of them in my LJ. There's a new set in high quality video which are fabulous! Here are two of my favorites.
I especially love the move at 1:30 in this oh-so-sensual rhumba:
And this stunning paso doble. Christopher plays the matador and Jayne, his cape, in this original set-pattern dance:
Too bad the vids don't show them as they enter and exit. They are in character from the moment they step on the ice up until the moment they step off. Masterful technicians that put a lot of heart and a ton of soul into each performance. Nobody does it better than Torvill and Dean.
And these vids are from the prelims, not a huge crowd for those. Check out some of the other vids for the reactions from the larger crowd!
