More Catching Up

Well, I went to the book festival but never made it to the movie. I realized I was going to be watching two Torchwood eps back-to-back when I got home and a two-hour Highlander movie later that night. Just thinking about it all was wearing me out.

Still not totally sold on Torchwood, but I'll keep tuning in. I'm the same way with Stargate. I tune in, but the stories don't always hold my attention.

In contrast I love Burn Notice with Jeffrey Donovan! I love the Winchester boys in Supernatural and the heroes in Heroes. And I'm hooked on the BBC America series, Hotel Babylon. I've heard the critics are high on the new fall series Pushing Daisies. I'll give that one a try.

And I've been hearing some intriguing news about the new season of 24. First, Tony (played by Carlos Bernard) is back! Oooh! And Peter Wingfield (Methos in the Highlander tv series) will be appearing in a couple episodes! Woohoo! I may start watching the series again.

Speaking of Methos and Highlander I watched the new movie HL: The Source. It was kinda cheesy, they killed off a favorite character and it had a corny ending, but I rather liked it. It was great seeing Peter, Paul, and Jim together again.

I'm going to an LOTR Hobbit Picnic in Stern Grove on Saturday. This is the fourth year of the event. But it's my first time attending. I have a friend who is a huge Frodo/Elijah Wood fan. She went to the one last year and had a great time. She invited me along this year. Sounds like fun.

Viggo's new movie, Eastern Promises, opens here tomorrow. But the soonest I can get out to see it is Sunday.
