Catching Back Up
Still got a bit of a cough, but otherwise I'm well. Kinda tired of being sick and staying in so I'm out and about today.
There's a book festival going on at four or five venues downtown, so I'm about to throw on some clothes and go walkies! I found out about it Thursday. I wanted to avoid the downtown traffic so I got off the bus at an earlier stop and took another route home. I discovered a new bookstore! Ya gotta love their sense of humor. Anyways they had a flyer for the festival and will have a booth there. So, I'll stop by and say hello.
I also want to see a movie. There's one in Spanish playing at the downtown giga-plex. It's called Ladron que roba a ladron. Essentially, thief robbing thief. From the trailer it sounds like Ocean's Eleven, with a clever Latino twist. Looks like a winner.
I watched the premiere of Torchwood last Saturday. Have to admit inspite of John Barrowman's disarming good looks it didn't knock my socks off. I know Cap'n Jack from the Doctor Who episodes and I know how talented JB is, but I didn't get to see much of that last week. I'm willing to stick with the series, though, and see if I can warm up to it.
Tonight is also the premiere of the new Highlander movie, The Source, on Sci-Fi. Unfortunately it's on at the same time as Torchwood. Fortunately, BBCA has an early showing of Twood. So, I'll get to see both. Yay!
Mads is scheduled to attend the Danish Film Festival in Los Angeles in a couple weeks. I would dearly love to go, but the new fall cycle begins on the 1st and I really can't afford it right now. Viggo was invited and he really wanted to come, but can't get away from the movie he's currently shooting. And it hasn't been confirmed that Mads will be there, so I'll just wait and see.
Oh, and I made a couple new icons.
