Be Kind to My Mistakes - Torchwood vid by Wolfling
(Oh, look, I'm finally posting...!)
wolfling has posted "Be Kind to My Mistakes," her new Torchwood vid -- and holy hells, it's fabulous.
Okay, I may be just a little bit biased... I won Wolflng's mad vidding skillz in the recent Sweet Charity auction. After the beautiful job she did on "Take to the Sky," the Buffy 7th season vid she did for the Vividcon auction, I desperately wanted her to make this vid. I'd had the song stuck in my head for months after an immediate "OMG -- it's Torchwood!!!" reaction the very first time I heard it.
(To understand my frame of mind here, remember that old Beggin' Strips dog treat commercial -- "It's BACON! Bacon, bacon, bacon! What's in the bag? I can't reeeaaad!" Replace "bacon" with "Torchwood" and "read" with "vid" and you've got it exactly.)
So, once again, Wolfling manages to give structure and coherency to a vague, inchoate notion of mine. I probably should feel bad about monopolizing her talents in two different auctions, but given the results, I really, really don't.
The vid is 100% Wolfling's; I contributed the song idea and a rambling explanation of why I thought the song was about Torchwood. She turned around and made something about a million times better than I'd ever envisioned.
