FANXINGYOU 2014 - AUTHOR REVEALS, THANK YOU NOTES, GIFTS ETC
Hello, everyone!
We are sad to say that the first ever Fanxingyou round has now come to an end. What started as an idea of renewing fanxing fanfiction interest, is now no longer a farfetched indulgent dream. The exchange is here! Finally done! With a total of 42 new fics amounting to 400+k words for everyone to enjoy, review, comment, flail, scream and cry over.
We would like to thank all our participants for their hard work, for their determination, for every second they had committed into making this exchange successful. Without you, the exchange wouldn't have existed.
We would also like to thank aprilclash, yeolis, thesockmonster, seekingsugar, ventice, chocoyeol, capturedhear_t, steponherneck and arianki for stepping in to pinch-hit for us. Without all your help, we don't know how we could have made it this far.
Special mention goes to chocoyeol, ventice and steponherneck for pinch-hitting despite not being part of the exchange. Thank you, thank you for stepping in.

It's done! Finally done. The journey was long, was stressful, had a lot of drama and crying going on, but finally, finally we've managed to wrap it all up. It's been fun. *_* We got 42 new fics of fanxing goodness to fill up our hearts.
I'm very happy to see so many people being interested in this exchange, considering how fanxing hasn't been making a lot of appearances after 2012. Thank you everyone, writers, readers, flailers alike! Thank you for making this happen.
Despite that Teesta might say about herself, I'm really relieved and grateful to have her as co-mod. Without her enthusiasm and her help, the exchange would have taken much longer to finish. So, Teesta, please don't be too hard on yourself and sleep well for your health.
In addition, maybe we will have Fanxingyou round 2 some time in the future. Who knows? XD

well, it's over! forty two glorious fics, the first drafts of some of which already had me in tears during check-in. honestly, when i jumped onboard (i distinctly remember tweeting mod cindy the moment i found out about the exchange, saying WOULD YOU LIKE SOME HELP I CAN HELP OH MY GOD LET ME HELP) i hadn't expected it to be (a) this much fun (b) this much work.
i'd like to thank every lovely writer who signed up and made this exchange so interesting right from the beginning: we got prompts right from dystopia!AU to sirens, mind-numbing fluff to heart-shattering angst. thank you for your enthusiasm-- most of our fics were well, well above the minimum word count, which is absolutely amazing! i'm so proud of all our fanxing writers. i've been going through the fics and am simply amazed at the sheer amount of work that has been put into them!
i don't think i'll ever be able to get over my disappointment with myself for falling sick at the worst possible time for the exchange. however, as a form of apology, let me assure you that even lying on a hospital bed getting an IV shot, at least 40% of my brain was going haven't...formatted...fics...yet... SO I GET CREDIT FOR TRYING, OKAY.
that being said, mod teesta expresses truly, truly, truly heartfelt regret for being the sole reason behind the disruption of the posting schedule. i cannot emphasise this enough, just like i cannot emphasise my gratefulness towards our lovely, lovely pinch-hitters, a couple of whom came in like heroes and took fics off my hands when i couldn't sit up enough to write.
and last, but definitely, definitely not the least, my lovely co-mod cindy, who i must have annoyed on more than one occasion with my incessant emailing and oppa, by the way what about [insert really, really stupid question here]. she really has infinite patience to be able to deal with the likes of me. this couldn't have been easy at all without you, cindy, especially not the final stretch where i wasn't of much use at all.
it's been fun, it's been a little (or a lot) stressful, but it's been worth it.
