I find myself nodding along with all of this and thinking, "Yes! Me too! That's the way life is."

Except that I knew where my vagina was. (I'd tripped into it by accident, searching out the clitoris.) TMI? Maybe.

I didn't look for the clitoris til a bit after this point - I am eternally grateful to an article in Cleo or Cosmo which told me exactly what to look for and what to do with it. Until then I used to just generally 'press' myself.

And to my disgust, while those magazines seem to reprint the same articles every two years or so, that is the one article that I have never seen reproduced, and it is the only one that was ever any good to anyone.

um - what's 'tmi'?

Wow. I was, like, five. There might be something medically wrong with me.

I'll never understand why those magazines make so much money.

too much information

No such thing as too much information. No one ever talks about this stuff, and I think we should.

(it seems to have freaked out most of my flist though, as you are the only one to comment!)

Wow, five. How did you know to look for it? I used to touch myself all the time, and press myself against things, but I didn't know about the actual clitoris until, I don't know, 10 or so?

Maybe they just don't know what to say? It took me a while to decide. Maybe they'll start talking now that we've kicked things off. Or maybe I've scared them even more.

I think I saw a diagram in Cosmo. ;)

I actually don't know. I remember having very intricately sexual dreams between the ages of three and...oh...seven? and I've no idea where I learned what those things were.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one doing that.

Do you have older siblings?

I was the eldest so I had to find things for myself. I think the Cosmo with the masturbation instructions was actually my cousins which she accidentally left behind at our place when her family visited once.

I don't think I had sexual dreams, but I was always trying to get other kids to do sexual things. Let me look at them, or look at me. Go skinny dipping, play touching games like doctor. Poor things - I scared a lot of them off I think! I couldn't understand why other kids weren't as curious as me.

You weren't the only one.

No. I have a mother who prefered leaving magazines out to talking to me about sex and menstrating. And yeah, I was asking at five and younger.

I suspect my dreams had some deep, non-sexual meaning, but they were still way too detailed for my age.

Thank God.

I still don't understand those people. Especially those who have never even touched themselves.

I know, it's weird.

I strongly suspect that a disinterest early in life carries through to the rest of a person's life. I really don't think you can suddenly become highly sexual - you either are, or you aren't.

Id like to reply seeing as though I’m another bloodline across the country that is spreading the ‘lets talk about the uncomfortable subjects’ wave and shares your openness and frankness about (to my surprise every time!) things people seem uncomfortable to discuss, subjects I don’t even question to discuss until i realise others are hesitating ( ... )
