(no subject)
I had the weirdest dream last night... I wish I could remember it all but I can't. Also, the thing that is weird about some of my dreams is that sometimes I am me, or sometimes I inhabit a character that I also view from a third person viewpoint at other parts of the dream... so it makes less sense that way... and I am also multiple characters in the dream...
Anyway I feel like I need to write it out, so...
At the beginning part I was working as a hairstylist in a really run down salon run by my friends who are twins... things were okay but sort of tenuous and dangerous as I will explain later. Everything was going alright but then it was the end of summer and the twins had to leave to go back to school, and so the salon was shutting down but I was left there thinking, what am I going to do? I don't want to be in this place alone! (ok this sort of seems like an allegory for my life when I put it this way, but let's not read into it)
There was this couple around who wore long black Matrix like coats, but they had zippers that were razor sharp... so when they would hug each other they would open their coats and fold each other into their coats... eventually I believe the man killed someone...?
Then the other part of the dream was that there was a youngish, handsome man, reminded me of Lee Pace, but it wasn't him. He lived around where the beat down desert salon was where I worked, and anyway, he had a family who were beat down, didn't work, were lazy; he was at odds with his family. I guess my brain is racist because this family an the aforementioned couple were all Latino/a... lol. So this young man somehow came to find a young blond girl who was a Dakota Fanning type. He was trying to protect her, even though it made his family mad because they want him to take care of them.
So, he tries to reconcile, or at least play nice, with his family, and they gather in the desert to have a big picnic. They each provide some things to eat, and the man provides chicken which makes he family happy since they can't afford meat.
So, they are all eating and enjoying their food, but something is off. They look at the chicken they are eating... The man then reveals that they are not eating chicken, but they are eating the blond girl! I could see her in my head lying on the sand not too far from the picnic, and parts of her arms and legs are cut off with skin hanging off...
The family freaks out and says she needs to go to a hospital immediately, but the young man picks up part of her severed arm that still has skin hanging off it and says something like "but what about this? you're going to waste this meat?" He is really distraught too, and is debating whether it is more humane to take her to the hospital or let her die. Then in the dream it cut away to a billboard nearby and you can hear the most horrible, gut wrenching screams imaginable coming from the girl.
So, he decides to rush her to the hospital, and at this point it's really like I'm watching a movie, and he's running around and pushing her around in a wheelchair, and as I'm watching this I'm sobbing hysterically as well, because it's so horrible. But then in my dream I'm still thinking it's a good movie but I wish they didn't have Dakota Fanning play the girl.
Then I woke up.

Cannibalism
