The 366 Meme: November 2020

Copied from spillikins. First nine questions and my answers are HERE.

What was the last really bad movie you watched, and what was bad about it? I usually quit really bad movies, so I'll have to say while "Rust Creek," with Hermione Corfield, wasn't 'really bad,' it wasn't really good either. The plot never grabbed me: attractive college student on her way to a backwoods interview, is menaced by hillbilly hoodlums, then rescued by a good hillbilly. Yawn.

If you were able to live to the age of 90 and retain either the body or the mind of a 30-year-old for the last 60 years of your life, which would you want? I'll answer this from a perspective the questioner didn't expect. I'm already 63, so I'm deciding for the next seven years. I'm in pretty good shape physically and mentally, but if I could get a guarantee that my physical health wouldn't decline, I'd take it. I figure I have a pretty good shot at staying mentally sharp so have less need for a guarantee.

If you knew of a way to use your estate, following your death, to greatly benefit humanity, would you do it and leave only a minimal amount to your family? I'd peel off a small inheritance for my oldest son, but my younger two are doing fine. So, token payments to them, the rest to 'greatly benefit humanity.' I'd want to be convinced that the non-family recipient was doing very worthwhile work in a fiscally efficient manner.

Do you prefer being around men or women? Do your closest friends tend to be men or women? I prefer to be around people, both men and women. However, at 83, my surviving friends tend to be women although my best friend is a man: my son, John.

What’s something you’re really good at, but you don’t like to do? I haven't shoveled snow since I moved into my apartment two winters ago. I don't miss it for a minute.

If you knew there would be a nuclear war in one week, what would you do? Try to see each of my children one more time while gathering a sleeping bag and other gear for camping out in the lowest level of the basement garage of my building. I would hope that nuking Philadelphia wouldn't be high on The Enemy's list, not with the more attractive targets of NYC and Washington D.C. nearby.

If you went to a dinner party and were offered a dish you had never tried, would you want to taste it even if it sounded strange and not very appealing? Of course I would. Otherwise the ghost of my mother would come back and smite me.

What behavior in others do you have zero tolerance or patience for?
When did you last sing to yourself? to someone else?
If you could have free, unlimited service for five years from an extremely good cook, chauffeur, housekeeper, masseuse, or personal trainer, which would you choose?
Does the fact that you have never done something before increase or decrease its appeal to you?
Would it disturb you much if, upon your death, your body were simply thrown into the woods and left to rot? Why?
If you were to become famous, what would you be famous for?
Before making a telephone call, do you ever rehearse what you are going to say?
Do you establish routines in your life? For example, do you usually sleep in the same place in your bed? eat meals at the same time? regularly return to the same vacation spot?
Can you be counted on to do what you say you'll do?
Do you think there are benefits to feeling grateful?
In conversations, do you tend to listen or talk more?
Sum up your personality by choosing three fictional characters that you might combine to make YOU.
What’s your favorite color in the Crayola 64-crayon box? If you are super-fancy and sophisticated and use the 150-crayon size box, that’s fine, too. Ya diva.
What’s your favorite tree?
