I asked my sister, Debbie, to come visit me this week rather than me going to see her because I wanted her to watch my soap opera with me.
Debbie with her parakeet, Alice Springs.
Debbie lives on a very limited budget which means that she has had to choose between internet and TV. She chose internet. That means she hasn't been watching the Intelligence committee's hearings, a.k.a. the latest episodes in my soap opera. In the interest of being able to talk to her about them, I asked her to come over early on Friday so she could watch Marie Yovanovitch's testimony with me. So much more fun when I have someone here to be outraged at the Republicans' comments ("Oh my God, he didn't really go there!"), to admire Schiff's use of the gavel, and to wonder whether there was any symbolism in Yovonovitch's choice of a scarf (there was).
Debbie will be back early on Wednesday morning to watch while Gordon Sondland testifies. I, on the other hand, will be watching four different sessions of testimony on Tuesday and Fiona Hill's session on Thursday, plus any other sessions that may still be scheduled. I am, I'm afraid, a tad obsessive. At any rate, if I don't post too often next week, you'll know why. I'll be witnessing on all of your accounts. FanSee
The U.S. House of Representatives Intelligence committee has very thoughtfully not scheduled any hearings tomorrow, out of deference to my schedule of going to Reading, PA to see my son, David, in Reading Rehab Hospital. Very considerate of them, I must say.
