This Is Halloween?

Alanna, intrepid explorer that she is, could not take the silence in the hotel any longer. Had it been days, months, years since she saw someone... anyone else? Had she entered into a room that made her lose track of time? Or dream that time had passed to begin with? Or even dream this whole adventure? Would she wake up in five minutes in a cave somewhere back on her planet, best friend looking at her like she'd grown an extra head?

It was impossible to tell in this hotel.

So to keep the loneliness at bay, she wandered and wandered through the halls... and went on several trips to the Thirteenth floor. Or attempted to without success, she couldn't recall. Perhaps that explained her foggy head, perhaps it didn't.

She shook her head in the elevator, trying to clear it. "What day is it, even?" She murmured to herself, looking at her watch. "November 7th... huh." A pause, as she stared at the floors going by in the elevator window. "Wait, what? How's that possible?" She tapped her watch frantically. It didn't seem to be broken in any fashion, which made her all the more uneasy about this business. Her brain immediately filled to the brink with all the things that could have caused this to happen... of course, her first thought was that something had simply happened to her watch. But then, that wouldn't explain her feeling of time passing. Alanna sighed, though, and tamped down those thoughts. It wasn't really worth wasting her time thinking about, because there was a definite possibility that she would never know the reason for sure.

...It was impossible to tell in this hotel.

Alanna got off at the 10th floor, and went down the halls, looking for a specific room. Room 31. As she had thought, the doorplate with its number on it was a black bat. Though she had missed Halloween, perhaps it was still going on in this room. A closer look at the door showed that there was an eye slot, and a doorbell beside it... no knob. Hmm.

((I'm just going to leave it at that for now, since the post is already really long, and I don't really feel like going on if there's no interest. >_<;; Anyway, the room is a Halloween room, and fittingly, you have to be dressed in a costume in order to be allowed in. And yes, the doorman can tell if it's your character's usual dress or not. ;D

There's also an opportunity for an event here to explain our long absences in the form of something happening in the hotel/in a room they encountered/etc. But I left it open-ended on purpose, so have fun with that too if you so desire.))
