The Inevitable Casting Thread
We started talking about some of the names GRRM has thrown around as actors for the "A Song of Ice and Fire" HBO series in my last topic. And I realized, this community hasn't had the inevitable casting topic. In which we all throw out names of actors who will never actually take the roles! So now we must have one. Because it is inevitable!
I must confess that I'm not good at casting things in my head. I will look at pictures and say "no" to just about everyone because the vision in my head is very distinct.
There is one that GRRM had mentioned in an interview that go in my brain and won't go away now. And that's Kurtwood Smith (of "That 70's Show" fame) as Tywin Lannister. The image of him walking around Westeros, calling Tyrion a "dumbass" is teh awesome. Plus I think if you shaved his head and glued on the whiskers he could go to town.
I also imagine Gendry similar to Daniel Cudmore (who played Colossus in the X-Men films). Except he does not have blue eyes or shaggy hair.
