Sandor Clegane

Why do we love Sandor? I mean, he mocks Robb for being the warrior equivalent of an old maid at 14(when I was your age...*lol*), kills a kid and enjoys it, and lusts after a twelve year old girl. I love Sandykins to pieces but he doesn't look good at first glance ( Read more... )

Heh! That's unexpected! Great to find someone understands!

Sandor/Brienne? I can just hear their endless arguments! *g* I doubt they'd be attracted to each other, though. There is not really any common ground that I can think of, except that they are both outsiders somehow.
I like Brienne/Jaime, but I also doubt it would last, simply because Jaime depends too much on Cersei to ever seriously consider a relationship with anybody else. And I doubt he would even have an affair with her, because Cersei seems the only person he never betrayed. Also, I doubt Brienne would be that easy to get, even though she is doubtlessly attracted to him. (I don't know how the different relations turn out, as I'm still reading Storm of Swords II, maybe something changes there. Up to now Jaime/Brienne seems no more than a very grudgingly admitted beginning friendship.)

Your version of Sandor/olderArya? *loves to death* You know what? You have written my perfect romance!!! (Including the boots. *g*) They'd fight constantly, but as soon as someone attacked either of them, he would have both their swords in his belly without a second thought.
Why can't she be older? They'd be so happy!

There is not really any common ground that I can think of, except that they are both outsiders somehow. Their common ground is more pyschological than interest-related. They are both former idealists who have gone through a lot of disillusionment, and come up with opposite reactions; Brienne goes into denial and insistence that honor and all that jazz matters to her, even if to no one else, while Sandor takes a sour grapes, "oh-well-it's-all-bullshit-anyway" approach. Brienne's looking for Sansa and Sandor would probably be, too, in any situation in which they'd meet; they're both great fighters but are not at their peak because they've been recently hurt (just imagine them training together - taking out frustrations, anyone?); they've both had dealings with Lannisters and Starks, once more with the inversion - Sandor the former Lannister sword, Brienne the former Stark sworn woman; they're both stubborn as all hell; they're the only two "true knights" in Westeros now that poor Beric died and stayed dead; and they both have powerful but impossible crushes. It would probably start off as a substitution thing...Brienne missing Jaime, Sandor missing Sansa, and anything that built up between them would pretty much have to sneak up on them.

*loves you to death, too* You know, I wish there was a way I could write a fic on this. ^__^

They'd fight constantly, but as soon as someone attacked either of them, he would have both their swords in his belly without a second thought. You know what image that gave me? Arya killing Gregor in defense of Sandor! I can't help but thinking that if unGregor and Sandor fought, unGregor would hand Sandor his ass on a platter, but if he was beating on him and Arya snuck up on him it could work and DAMMIT why is Arya ELEVEN!

She can't be older because GRRM is an evil sadistic man. Arya and Sandor would be such an entertaining couple.

That sounds actually plausible. I still can't imagine them as physically involved, though. They both have too much of a taste for pretties... *g*

I wish there was a way I could write a fic on this. Why don't you? I loved the ideas you had so far and they could be elaborated really well. That's what long plotty Alternate Universe fics are for!!!

Arya killing Gregor in defense of Sandor! That would be so sweet.
But guess what? She'd probably still say Sandor's name in her people-yet-to-die list every night. "X-D

First line refers to Brienne/Sandor.

This is true. In the thing which has been going on in my mind, which may at some point become a fic, there would be at least one "Oh my gods. I buggered that?" moment upon waking. For each of them.

First - thank you. *blushes* Second - good idea. I might do that ^_^ It hadn't crossed my mind because I've never really done fic before...but now it's really tempting.

That would be so sweet. Wouldn't it though? Now my brain won't stop imagining it.

But guess what? She'd probably still say Sandor's name in her people-yet-to-die list every night. Damn straight! XD She wouldn't be Arya if she didn't. And he'd still call her she-wolf and tell her he didn't give a fuck what she did...and then mutter under his breath "as long as you don't stab me in my sleep."
