...... Is it irresponsible to ask for a new computer instead of new tires? ... the answer is "probably, especially considering you NEED new tires and your laptop does work well."
The comp I've been using is five years old. It's... in decent condition. It's heavy and a bit bulky, so I don't ever really carry it around, which has prolonged its life. I also don't ever leave it open, and when I close it, it goes on immediate stand-by and hibernates. There's one pixel on the screen out, and the graphics card is outdated.
So basically, the only reason I want a new computer is to get something that'll play video games without freezing, and that'll carry around well.
But maaaaaan. Tires. Tires aren't fun. It's like getting socks for Christmas, except I'd be getting tires for graduation >:/ And at least the socks I get for Christmas tend to be bright, colorful, and creatively designed (my mom got me bubblegum argyle pink socks for Christmas this year!!!!), whereas all tires are the same. Nobody's going to be all at interested when I say, "I have new tires" whereas they show mild interest when I say, "I have new socks! They're pink argyle!"
Growing up sucks. You end up spending your money on things like toilet paper and razor blades when all you REALLY want is a Nerf gun and a box of Crayola's new glow in the dark chalk
(seriously, I want that chalk.......)
