shopping
I hate shopping.
No. Scratch that. I love shopping, but I have having to do it for work. Today was one of those days. I needed new work shoes and white shirts.
The shoes are... not attractive. I call them "middle-aged runner" shoes. Hopefully they will remain comfortable D: But the girls at the shoe store complimented my purse and I got to tell them about Artpool.
The shirts are absolutely meh. I hate the color white. With an undying passion.
And then, I had to go and get toiletries at Wally World.
As compensation, I got myself a bunch of socks (yay! I have the CUTEST knee-high striped pair! They're black and gray) (I also got a bunch of fun technicolor bright-print socks <3) and I got myself nail polish (Xtreme Wear, by Sally Hansen, in Purple Potion, Green With Envy, and Blue Me Away!). So my nails are now robin's egg blue with lime green and dark purple polka dots.
Also: The sister-unit is taking Nephew and Boyfriend's Daughter out to a Halloween thing. Um... Nephew was ADAMANT about being Batman this year, right? Well, he's so excited about his costume that he keeps putting his hands on his hips and THRUSTING out his chest in a Batman pose. And Boyfriend's Daughter is a skeleton ballerina because her father refused to buy her a ninja costume (she wanted to be a ninja so she could get the weapons. This girl is only almost 4 years old LOL)
Nephew is so cute though. "But Kimberly... I can't fly!" which turned into a moment where ALL the adults took him aside and told him, "Just because you're wearing the costume doesn't mean you can fly. You. Can't. Fly. Don't even try."
