I’ve tried to keep it as diverse as possible. There are Harry Potter, Labyrinth, Phantom of the Opera, Twilight and Spirited Away fanfics for you to explore and hopefully enjoy. This is only a handful of some of my personal highlights and most of these I’ve read more than once.

Summary: Hermione suffers a terrible loss and has to choose between two paths. Very loosely based on WIKTT Marriage Law Challenge. An exploration of the Dark Arts and their "true" effects, including the Call of the Blood.
This is the story that got me hooked, not only to fanfiction itself but to SS/HG!
Title: Where Your Treasure Is by zeegrindylows
Ship: Hermione/Severus
Summary: Post-Deathly Hallows. Severus Snape survives, only to find himself entangled in an enchantment he never expected.
This fic basically kept me sane after the end of DH. This is my 8th Harry Potter book, hands down!

Don’t ask me - I still don’t know what made me click on a Hermione/Tom Riddle/Voldemort fic, but this one is so very different from all other time travel fics out there that I totally forgot my usual shipping preferences. It’s hard to put in words, but I’m desperately craving an update!

A very comforting and protective Jareth without too much fluff…but some interesting turns and twists along the way. The sequel is a must read: The Way Forward

Summary: Sarah takes Toby to a concert of art song. It is the darkest evening of the year. Words have power. Songs can be magic. And undying love can be more terrible than beautiful ...
I was at the edge of my seat with this story, it’s just so terrifying and yet so absolutely fascinating to read - especially for me as a German native speaker. It made me remember just why I was always freaked out by that poem in school. Very dark Jareth!
Title: In A Glass Darkly by subtilior
Summary:Dr. Sarah Williams, psychiatrist, wants fiercely to succeed. A tormented patient, Aaron Cohen, wants only to sleep. But they have something in common ... and that something wants nothing less than Sarah herself ...
Beware, compared to this Erlkönig is fluffy! I don’t know why I’m so drawn to these twisted horror stories but it just didn’t let me go and I had to know how it ended. The darkest Jareth I’ve ever read, beware!

Summary: Sarah has good grades, a circle of friends, and a cute boyfriend. Life's great...right? So why does she have the strange feeling that something's missing? Fairy tales show that magic will make you or break you. Which category does she belong in?
I love this story so much. Jareth’s intentions are never clear, Sarah is confused and very suspicious and the minor characters have a life of their own.
Title: Once More With Demons by Morrigana
Summary: Sarah's family moves to Sunnydale, and Sarah suddenly finds herself assailed by supernatural forces. Who can she turn to for help?
Yes you’ve read correctly. This is a crossover with Buffy and that was intriguing enough for me to read it. I think it’s still the only one out there. I loved the interaction of the Scooby Gang with Jareth and the unique and well-crafted plot.

Title: Sleepwalker by stress
Summary: She had said that he had no power over her but it did not last. Three years later, Sarah finds herself up against Jareth for the second time. But this time the stakes are different: she's now running for her freedom. And Jareth doesn't play fair.
I’ve been following this fic since…forever it seems. I started reading it because of the connection to the song by Nightwish with the same title. If only there were regular updates. A chapter every three months or so is definitely not much.

Title: The Innocent by The Grasshopper
Summary: A dark, modern retelling of the original tale.
I love this story to death, maybe because it was my first modern Phantom fic. I just love everything about it. Christine is as naïve as ever and yet not obnoxious, Erik is very dark and mysterious and the ending will definitely surprise you. One of the best phics out there!

My latest obsession. It literally hit me out of the blue and I don’t think it’ll go away anytime soon.

Not your usual steamy smut…and there’s even a plot! Great humorous dialogue in this one, too!

Summary: A wish sends Bella back in time to Chicago, 1918, and to a human Edward.
This is definitely not your average 'All Human' premise, quite the contrary. I would have never thought I’d like this story so much. I just wanted to read one chapter and then suddenly I was at chapter 19. It’s not yet finished, but it’s going to be completed in the next few days.

Again I was just curious and ended up reading till the latest chapter. What is it with these books and even the fanfiction that I can’t stop reading?!

Summary: Forever has always been an optimistic term for Camryn. But when it changes context, specifically when connected to a werewolf, forever doesn't appear to be as appealing. Her problem now is to figure out if it is for the better or worse. Paul x OC
Yes, I admit it - I have a soft spot for the werewolves and especially Paul, the hot-tempered one.
Fandom: Spirited Away
There is only one fic I read in this fandom and I had the fortune of clicking gold instantly. This is an epic story, with one sequel already completed and another one in the making. If you liked or loved the movie, you simply have to read this!
