maniacalmuse It doesn't end. He knows that he'll have to go through his whole routine again no matter how much he wants it to end. Tomorrow morning he'll have to wake up at 5 am, fly twenty laps around the Quidditch field, have breakfast and wait until Potions class to see Angelina. It's really aggravating to him to wait so long. He only does it because she needs time to lose the Weasley twins.
Angelina likes her friends. She just doesn't want them to know about Montague. No one on her team would approve of it. Imagine what would happen if word got around that she was seeing the captain of the Slytherin Quidditch team. She would surely get looked at strangely for it. She likes to blend in. She learned early on at Hogwarts that the less attention you attract to yourself the better.
It's nearing that time and both are getting anxious about the meeting. It's weird that it happens because they've been talking for months now and the awkwardness of it hasn't tapered off. Angelina feels like she's doing something wrong while Montague understands they both need to uphold their respective reputations. Montague knows how important that is to someone in Slytherin.
At breakfast he glances over at the Gryffindor table. She's talking to Alicia and Katie. Katie's the first one to notice the fact he's staring. She makes a disgusted face at him and nudges Angelina to tell her about it. Once she looks his way his glance is back on his food and he strikes up a conversation with Adrian Pucey to cover up the fact he had been staring at her. She's pleased with this.
Potions comes and goes. When it's over they slip away from the crowd and meet at the designated location. It's cold out so they have to get there briskly and without notice. The autumn leaves don't help them that much.
"We're going to have to figure out a way to get this out in the open," he spoke up.
"We can't do that now. They'll think we're exchanging Quidditch information," she replied.
"They won't."
"They will. I can almost guarantee it."
"So who do I have to kill around here to kiss you in public?"
"I don't know. Maybe Snape perhaps?"
"I'll have you know Severus Snape is a great man and doesn't deserve death."
"Even though he's a known death eater."
"He was a known death eater. He changed his ways."
They continue to argue about this for a few minutes. This leads to kissing, which leads to groping. Soon they decide enough was enough. They part ways before they are caught by anyone. They will continue to pretend they are enemies even though that couldn't be farther from the truth. Both of them play the role well.
