...yeah, well, it's sock yarn, i.e. doesn't count as stash. :-p
Anyhow, I'm chugging along with being single again. Chatted to Frank a couple of time as though nothing had changed...but well, I'm not really sure whether I'm actually feeling okay or I'm just denying. Seems like the bomb hasn't gone off yet....just hope that it won't have to go off...or better that there isn't any bomb to go off at all. (Is CIA going to be screening my blog from now on that I keep saying "bomb" repeatedly?)

Talking about kindness of knitters, this scarf came in the mail on Saturday. It's the scarf that
1twistedsister knitted for me. I'm supposed to be knitting her a scarf as a swap, too....but it's been on the needles since more than a year now. Originally, it was in basketweave...but about a month ago, I picked it up again and decided that it looked totally fugly, so I sent it to the frog pond and am turning it into another My So-Called Scarf.
The scarf kinda cheered me up already.
What surprised me most was that last night, while I was whiling my time away on the computer, I received an email saying that someone had just bought me a gift pro-account on Flickr. It was totally bewildered because I first found out who it was that bought me the gift pro-account via Flickr....and it was some old guy.
I first thought: Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeee....some Sugar-daddy is trying to hit on me by buying me a pro-account.
At that time I was chatting with Frank and another friend who also uses Flickr and was telling them about this pro-account situation....(Frank told me that I should tell the guy that he should buy Frank a pro-account, too. *LOL*)
Anyhow, later last night, I surfed around and went to check Men Who Knit. Turned out there's a message for me there.
You see, I also blog about my projects on MWK and I also share the fact that I'm going through a break-up at the moment....anyway, so this guy read it and bought me the Flickr Pro-Account as a cheer-up-gift, without having known me or have chatted with me before! I felt like such a dork having thought of him as a sleazy sugar-daddy-wannabe. I was really touched that there are people out there, unknown to me, who are ready to make a total stranger happy again. I was touched. Thank you!
Charles also left me a comment that he's sending me something in the mail, too. Thank you so much! All these things really cheer me up....and I'm taking it as cheering-up as well as my birthday gifts. ;-)
