Hardison walked into the diner, paying no attention to the staff's outrageous and elaborate costumes. He walked right through their choreography, weaving his way between canes, high kicks, jazzhands, and even a human pyramid. He ducked under waving top hats, dodged around a tap dance number, and finally made it to his booth unscathed. The show-stopping chorus came to a full-crescendo worthy of any Broadway performance and yet Hardison didn't even look up from his phone.
It wasn't until the busboy came over to take Hardison's order and had to tap his shoulder to get the man's attention did the staff realize that Hardison had thwarted their fun by investing in a pair of earplugs.
There was a lot of grumbling as they dismantled the stage, but Hardison didn't hear any of it.
