Dite's Decadent Delights, Tuesday

Mar 28, 2017 11:51

It was spring and Kathy was furiously spring cleaning the shop. Shelves were getting scrubbed, merchandise dusted and rotated, edibles were having their expiration dates checked, and anything looking even the least bit worn, faded, or ragged was getting tossed into the bin immediately. Her speakers were blasting a black metal band that Lottie had suggested she check out last year, which didn't make the cleaning any more fun, but certainly gave her more energy to do it. She was hoping the combination of hard work and loud music would help her stop fretting over Kat's condition and Limbo City as well as scare away any mice that had made their way inside the building. She was pretty sure she'd seen a mouse scurrying across the store this morning. It had gotten caught in some green fabric--or, well, that's what Kathy was telling herself, since the alternative was acknowledging that it had been wearing some kind of tiny green robe and she hadn't had enough coffee for that yet.
