Ever since Tony had made her aware of the oncoming holiday, Peridot had been keeping an eye out for strangeness around the island that might be connected to this 'Christmas' thing. She'd even documented many of the island's daily events, though there had been some that were frustratingly elusive to a little Gem who had no need to do things like turn on taps to see what was running from them on any given day. Today's, for example, seemed to be evading her. She was sure it was just within her grasp, and she was going all out poking around every nook and cranny of the Stark's workshop today, but she kept getting distracted by this weirdly sweet scent in the air. If only it would go away so that she could focus on her research!

"JARVIS, have you seen anything out of the ordinary today?"

"No, but-"

"Then keep looking!"

She'd find it. Sooner or later. She was hell-bent on it.
